Doña Carmen returns to San Sebastián ! We're reopening our doors (again) to San Sebastián, considered the jewel of the Basque Country . You can't imagine how much we've missed this spectacular city . For those of you who aren't lucky enough to be there, we recommend spending a weekend there and discovering all its secrets.
This beautiful city, internationally known for its film festival, has much more to offer tourists. Its buildings and beautiful mansions located on the seafront invite you to stroll along La Concha Beach, enjoying the sea breeze, until you reach the mound where the Miramar Palace is located. You can continue the walk to Ondarreta Beach and enjoy one of Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida's masterpieces, " The Comb of the Sea ." This sculptural ensemble is composed of three pieces placed on the rocks of the coast.
But San Sebastian has much more to offer. If we leave the coast and delve into the heart of the city , we find a wide range of cuisines, with pintxos standing out among them, both in their more traditional and more avant-garde versions. The best place to enjoy this gastronomic experience is undoubtedly the historic center , where the old and traditional taverns are located, especially Calle 31 de Agosto and Calle Mayor, where we'll find the hustle and bustle of the city's most famous bars.
In this old part of the city, we can enjoy great architectural works such as the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, a neo-Gothic cathedral whose tall towers can be seen from any point in the city, and the delicate Basilica of Santa María del Coro, which has one of the most representative facades of the Rococo style.
