DOÑA CARMEN was founded in 1970 in Santander. Its founder's name isn't Carmen, although everyone asks, and most people call her Carmen. Just like our entire team, all women now call her Carmen. This is the story of Doña Carmen, a family business that began as a small shop eager to offer new products and, little by little, through hard work and perseverance, has managed to carve out a small niche for itself in the baby fashion sector.

Our journey begins with an idea, an idea that pops into our heads one day and begins to take shape in endless afternoons where we share things and spend hours dreaming about everything we want to do. We want to make that idea a reality, and to do so, we look over and over again at fabric samples, lace, and buttons. We drive Isabel, who isn't with us but acts as if she were, crazy because we call her to order a dress that's completely sold out, but a client wants it for her twins. We also drive Ana a little crazy, who visits us from time to time, always with beautiful things that drive us crazy, and we can't wait for next summer because we want to show them to you right away. Mer from the store also tells us that the leggings are too small, Lola from Madrid gets angry because she has nothing left to sell, and Amparo from Murcia complains that we don't listen to her. Every now and then, we also get an email from a customer that makes us stop and think about why something is failing, why they don't like something, or they ask us about a romper they loved that's no longer available in the store or on the website, and we try to get it for them.
This is our daily work, working to create beautiful things at the lowest possible cost. We know what we want, but we can't afford it at any price. This is the backbone of Doña Carmen, a design that sets us apart and at a price that's affordable for everyone.
